Color with essence
Yes, you know I like the color. A lot. And that most of the emotions I try to tell you through my creations have that paradoxical background of joy shaded with a bit of nostalgia.
I try to capture a combination of what I see and what I feel, of what is there and what I think there is or what I would like there to be. Without realizing it, I merge life with dreams. And sometimes it is cheerful and sometimes not so cheerful.
Looking from the inside out
Rather than telling you about my styles, I prefer that you, after seeing with your eyes what I do, decide the music of the set.
You may have noticed that I like the larger works because I see myself with more space to act. The technique is essentially mixed media because I add objects to the color strokes to give it that three-dimensional feeling you see.
Apart from that, imagination and emotion rule. And those eyes that look at you from many of my works ask you to take a look inside yourself… and tell them something. Whatever you feel.

Bookartis Art in your handsSarah Anne Swanson is convinced that "ART is an out of the box , a program without a script, without recognition of someone or something, but a recognition of oneself as an indivisible part of nature."

Concha Marquez PainterWhen I stand in front of Sarah's paintings I imagine Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz; each painting is a colorful tile, and each tile transports me to a different world. These worlds give me strength, confidence and vitality.

Sarah's work is as profound as it is wild. Emotion is in every brushstroke and color pulls you into sensations that are only found in the depths of nature and the animal kingdom.
